Could Covid-19 change how cities view their streets?

I published an article in the online magazine New Frame which explores the possibility of rethinking streets. As from the article, one question it considers is:

Joburg residents – and those in other urban centres in South Africa – have been experiencing their streets in a novel and gratifying way during the Covid-19 lockdown. Could it become a way of life?
